We are WildMex Surf & Adventure, a surf and outdoor company with over 19 years of experience in Punta de Mita & Sayulita, Mexico. We’re all about fun, safety, and the ocean lifestyle — offering surf lessons & trips, MTB rides, hikes, snorkel & boat tours. 

Our 35+ team members are young, energetic, outdoorsy, and always up for a challenge. Join our water team. This role is ideal for experienced surfers looking to develop as instructors while helping ensure guest safety and fun.

📍 Location: San Pancho, Sayulita & La Lancha, Nayarit

As a Jr. Surf Instructor Volunteer you will:

  • Assist experienced instructors during lessons and eventually lead your own groups.
  • Ensure water safety and teach surf theory. 
  • Help clean and maintain equipment.
Specific Requirements: Intermediate-advanced surfing level. ISA and/or lifeguard certification is a huge plus. Fluent English.

General Volunteer Requirements:

Minimum age of 19 years old.

We only accept solo travelers, no couples.

Mandatory minimum stay of 1 month.

Must hold valid International Health Insurance.

Comfortable working in hot and humid weather; accommodation has fans but no AC.

Strict adherence to facility rules: 100% smoke-free, drug-free, alcohol-free, and absolutely no partying.

Schedule: 20 hours of volunteer work per week. You will keep your tips for the lessons taught within these 20 hours. If you work over 20 hours, you will be paid for the extra hours under the Junior Surf Instructor pay scheme.

Note: Food not included, but a 20% discount is available at the affiliated restaurant.
